The certificate programs are intended for persons who are employed in companies that need to have some basic electrical/electronic knowledge or who need to upgrade their skills in this field.
The Electronics Certificate I program contains 24 semester credits of basic electrical/electronics that are required in the first year of the two-year diploma program. This Certificate provides the introductory courses to basic electrical/electronic career fields.
The Electronics Certificate II program has a prerequisite of the Electronics Certificate I program plus 14 more semester credits with emphasis in the industrial electrical/electronic career field.
Both certificate programs have credit transferability to the two-year diploma/AAS degree programs. Students may enroll full-time or part-time in the regularly scheduled day program or the late afternoon and evening classes, when offered.
