The purpose of the Facial Specialty program is to prepare a person for employment as a licensed Facial Specialist. This course is designed to qualify students for employment upon successfully completing all the competencies, hours and theory required to obtain a certificate of completion for Facial Specially and to obtain registration from the State Board of Cosmetology.
The program is a planned sequence of instruction. We will begin with the Core of Cosmetology, which includes, but is not limited to, communication skills, leadership skills, human relations skills and employability skills, safe and efficient work practices, Florida cosmetology law and rules, related chemistry, bacteriology, anatomy and physiology. Acquiring the knowledge and skills to perform manipulative & electrical techniques for massage and facial treatments, hair removal and the art of makeup to become a Facial Specialist.
