Mission: It is the mission of Blackfeet Community College to provide transfer academic and relevant vocational programs of high quality that lead to appropriate associate degrees and certificates. Further, the college provides a core of general education instruction that results in identifiable student competence in written and oral communication, quantitative reasoning, critical analysis and logical thinking, with literacy achieved in the discourse or technology appropriate to the student’s program of study. Blackfeet Community College Certificates/Less-than-1-year Certificate Hospitality Operations Management

The Blackfeet Community College’s National American Vocational Education Program’s (NAVTEP) Hospitality Department is designed to provide a broad exposure to Hospitality Operations in Hotel/Motel and Restaurant Management. Students will receive specialized training in academics from which they may choose a career path in either, Hotel or Restaurant Management, Catering skills, Front Desk, and/or Human Resource Management. The students will receive on-the-job training internships and enhanced communication skills. Students earning a “One-Year Certificate” will have the skills necessary for a supervisory position. This curricula is designed to preserve the cultural traditions and heritage of the Blackfeet People relative to Hospitality Operations Management by integration of traditional concepts in the course of study.
