The Marketing/Sales certificate is designed for students currently employed in the field or considering employment in the field of sales or marketing to introduce the essentials of these two areas of study. This is the first semester of the Marketing/Sales Specialist Certificate program and could be extended into an AAS degree in Business Administration. Upon completing the program students will:
Explain how firms implement the marketing concept;
Describe the marketing process and identify the variables that make up the marketing mix;
Discuss the kind differences between relationship selling and traditional selling;
Understand and use the concept of team building;
Develop effective customer relations and use correspondence and communications technology in appropriate ways; and
Describe several methods of effective time management.
