The seven and a half-month Medical Technician Program (AKA Phlebotomy and Clinical Skills) is designed for people seeking employment in the following fields:
• Hospitals
• Urgent Care Units
• Doctor's office
• Independent Laboratories
• Nursing Homes
The employment description of the Medical Technician is extremely dynamic and challenging including the capacity of drawing blood (phlebotomy), Electrocardiography (with interpretation), Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, ID-IM-SQ Injections, Clinical Skills, Universal Precautions, office surgery assistance, Emergency Room Assistance, medical ethics and regulations policies. Upon completion of the program requirements, both didactic and externship, American College of Medical Technology will issue a Certificate of Completion and a Diploma to the graduate.
