The Welding Technology program will help the student learn the basics of welding technology that will permit the individual to enter the field at entry level as a fabrication/welder. The student will also take academic courses to provide a well-balanced curriculum. Graduates may enter the workforce immediately or transfer for more advanced training.
Upon completion of the program, the student will be able to:
• Demonstrate safe work habits in welding/metal fabrication.
• Identify and use a variety of techniques and materials to achieve the desired weld.
• Perform quality welds on mild steel using arc and gas methods.
