Automotive Service Technology

Automotive Service Technology is a two-year program, half-day attendance, or 1050 clock hours in length. Classes are offered in the morning and afternoon. The curriculum and entire program are ASE certified by the National Automotive Technicians Educational Foundation, Inc.
Skilled automotive service technicians will always be in demand. Automotive Service Technology trains students to service and repair passenger and light commercial vehicles with gasoline engines. Students acquire the skills and the basic knowledge necessary to secure a job in this rewarding field.
The program covers aspects of fuel injection, exhaust, steering, suspension, brakes, wiring, electronics, engine performance and drivability systems. Students receive theory of operation, as well as hand-on training with "live" vehicles. The program is certified through the national Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF) as a program of Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) n the following areas: Brakes, Electrical Systems Engine Performance, and Suspension and Steering.
