The Fire Science Program is designed to prepare participants for occupations and advancement in the fire service. Content includes fire suppression, fire investigation, fire prevention, emergency and rescue services, hazardous materials, emergency response, and coordination with other agencies. Some of the training is done at off-campus sites, including area fire agencies and the WSP Fire Academy at North Bend. Some courses require an application. Instructors for all classes are associated with fire departments throughout Washington State.
