The Medical Assistant Program prepares the learner for employment in a general practice medical office or other ambulatory setting. This program requires graduates with the necessary skills, abilities, and attitudes required for job success. Course work from the Office Systems program develop the necessary administrative competencies for success in the workplace in the areas of clerical functions, bookkeeping and special accounting procedures, and in the preparation of insurance documentation. Medical Assistant course work provides the learner with clinical competencies such as clinical procedures, specimen collection, diagnostic testing, and patient care procedures.
Program Outcomes, the students will:
