Certificates/Less-than-2-year Certificates in Mason + Masonry: A program that prepares individuals to apply technical knowledge and skills in the laying and/or setting of brick, concrete block, hard tile, marble and related materials, using trowels, levels, hammers, chisels, and other hand tools. Includes instruction in technical mathematics, blueprint reading, structural masonry, decorative masonry, foundations, reinforcement, mortar preparation, cutting and finishing, and applicable codes and standards.
Program Description: Learn the basics of laying brick, block, stone, concrete, estimation of jobs, use of scaffolding and other materials, and how to use a transit level and all basic hand tools.
Length: 1080 hours (2 year program - 8 credits)
