Includes instruction in technical mathematics, framing, construction materials and selection, job estimating, blueprint reading, foundations and roughing-in, finish carpentry techniques, and applicable codes and standards.
Description Students learn to use hand and power tools, read blueprints and frame floors and walls. Instruction also includes site layout, footing and foundation construction, insulation, interior wall and ceiling coverings, interior trim, exterior finishes and exterior trim. Program graduates earn the qualifications of an entry-level residential or commercial carpenter.

The four-year certificate program in Carpentry Apprenticeship offers qualifying applicants occupational training under the sponsorship of the local Joint Apprenticeship Committee.
The cooperative part of the program involves lecture and laboratory classes for thirty (30) academic credits. A student may then apply these credits toward an Associate Degree in Building Construction Estimating or Supervision.
