The MS program in Biomedical Engineering provides breadth in biomedical engineering biomedical sciences with depth in an engineering specialty. In addition, students are expected to develop the ability to work independently on a biomedical research or design project. The MS requires a minimum of 30 credit hours. With a MS research thesis (Plan A), a minimum of 21 credits hours is needed in regular coursework and 9 hours of thesis research (EBME 651). With a M.S. project (Plan B), a minimum of 27 credits hours is needed in regular coursework, and three hours of project research (EBME 601).
