The MBA in Human Resources Management at FDU was developed in partnership with our network of global HR leaders. As a result, the program focuses on building competencies that our business partners have identified as essential for employment success- such as change leadership, strategic thinking and an action-oriented approach to HRM.
As a result of our partnerships, we offer more than classes on HRM topics; we also link FDU students and faculty to a larger business community through its Center for Human Resource Management Studies (CHRMS). This center brings HR leaders, student, and scholars together for a wide range of programs and learning experiences.
The Human Resource Management course offerings emphasize:
An approach to classroom instruction that fully engages the student in the learning process
Concentration on knowledge and skill sets that are practical and useable
A global perspective that emphasizes ethics and long-term sustainable business practices
The use of team-based teaching and learning
It is our goal that our Human Resource Management majors will:
Receive solid conceptual grounding in HRM
Develop competencies to become highly effective individually and with others
Develop and demonstrate these competencies with hands-on learning, including work on real-world consulting projects and service to the community
Undergo rigorous assessment of their overall accomplishments
Enter a fast track to successful and rewarding careers.
Career Opportunities:
An MBA in Human Resource Management can be used to pursue a wide variety of career opportunities. Most directly, this degree prepares students for management and leadership positions in Human Resources. Further, students already employed in technical areas of business can use their HR degrees to better understand their organizations and pursue leadership positions. Students can also use their applied knowledge to pursue careers in HR and management consulting.
