City University of Seattle’s M.B.A. program is designed to be flexible enough to meet the specific needs of every type of student. Whether you are a traditional grad student taking daytime or evening classes or a busy, working adult hoping to earn your degree without sacrificing your career, family, or responsibilities, this program is perfect for you.
Throughout this program, you will be able to apply your skills in these areas: development of a business plan; business simulation; e-portfolio; business application project; professional development planning; and programmed skill-building. You will have the opportunity to build a portfolio, which could be shared with a prospective employer. Upon completion of your M.B.A. degree, you will be prepared for a successful career in industry, government, education, and not-for-profit (virtually every sector of private and public employment). In keeping with current market demand for employees skilled in certain areas of specialization, CityU offers optional emphasis areas such as Change Leadership, Finance, Marketing, and Technology Management that will help you succeed in your chosen field.
City University of Seattle’s innovative Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) program was developed after surveying employers in the United States, Europe, and China to determine what they look for when hiring and promoting an M.B.A. to a management position. The focus of the program is to help you become recognized as a leader at every level of an organization. You will develop the orientation, skills, and confidence to think strategically, take the initiative, and achieve desired results by motivating others.
Our program is accessible and flexible—you can stop-out and restart anytime. For your convenience, you can also combine in-class with online courses (we are one of the few grad schools that offers this option). In addition, we do not require the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) for enrollment. Our instructors teach in class what they do for a living, so you receive instruction that is relevant and immediately applicable in the real world—where it matters most. Lastly, as a culminating activity, you will have the opportunity to develop and implement a business project in a local business setting while supervised by a faculty team.
Emphasis Area:
Technology Management
If you’re seeking a career or greater opportunities with a leading technology company or a technology-driven organization, CityU’s Technology Management emphasis will provide you with the knowledge and skills you need. This emphasis is specifically designed to teach you how to: manage technology projects; lead, coach and motivate a technology team; analyze a business process and identify opportunities for technology; and develop a business plan that integrates technology into the business enterprise.
