The Master of Science Degree in Career and Technical Education with an option in Technology Education has been designed to meet the needs of experienced and prospective teachers of technology subjects in junior colleges, high schools, and middle schools. The program is also an excellent pathway for those who continue graduate study to obtain a doctoral degree.
Core Courses are 12 semester hours of Evaluation in Technical Education, Occupational Information, Research in Education, and Creative Problem Solving. Specialty Option Courses are 12 semester hours of Organization and Administration of Career and Technical Education, Technical Education Facility Planning, Applied Problem Solving, and Research in Technology. Supporting Courses are 6 semester hours to be selected from Finance and Support Services in School, School Law and Ethics in School Leadership, Foundations of Multicultural Education, Organization and Supervision of Student Teaching, or Curriculum Practices and Trends in Industrial Education.
