The Graduate Computer Science (GCS) program prepares students for job assignments involving the elicitation of requirements, design, implementation, test, evaluation, and management of software-intensive computer systems. This program develops broad competence in the application of concepts and techniques of computer science. The program emphasizes specialized areas of interest to the Air Force by providing the student with a background in several of these areas and an in-depth investigation in an area leading to a computer thesis. The breadth of the curriculum prepares students for a variety of employment opportunities involving research, development, and program management in the computer science area.The program includes a series of fundamental courses, specialty sequences, electives, and an independent study. Completion of the GCS program results in the award of a Master of Science degree (Computer Science major).
