The Rehabilitation Counseling Program provides students with knowledge and skills for work in health and human service agencies, government, and industry. Clinical skills are developed to help students work with special populations challenged by vocational issues, disabilities, chronic illness. Students may also develop skills to work with forensic populations.
Specialization Goals:
1. To enhance students’ knowledge of the physical and mental aspects of disability
2. To identify clients’ strengths and weaknesses in order to facilitate their placement in appropriate work settings
