An education master's designed by teachers for teachers
Imagine an education master’s that could be responsive to the needs of your classroom, of your students.
Imagine an education master’s that would be structured so that you would devote only one night a week to actual class time and still be able to finish within two years.
Imagine an education master’s designed by teachers with classroom experience for teachers with classroom experience.
You have just imagined Brescia University’s Master of Science in Curriculum Instruction (MSCI). Curriculum development and improved instructional practice, flowing from sound theoretical bases and buttressed with research and practice, are the major themes of the MSCI. Teachers will enhance and refine their classroom management and instructional skills by reflecting on their own current practices, identifying areas for growth or change, and implementing classroom and school-based research projects.
The class calendar is structured to allow you to get established within the semester before beginning courses, and the courses are scheduled so that two required courses each semester are offered on the same weeknight. If you should so choose, you could complete the MSCI within a two-year framework, taking two 3-hour courses per semester (including summer classes and alternative intersession courses).
