The program in early childhood education is intended for individuals who have a bachelor’s degree and wish to work with young children, with or without special needs, in a preschool situation or grades K-2. An individual transcript review by the director will be conducted to evaluate fulfillment of subject matter knowledge requirements for the license. Students study the foundations and principles of Early Childhood Education to better formulate a developmental framework which provides a safe and nurturing environment that promotes the physical, social, emotional and cognitive development of young children.
