An applicant for the Master of Arts degree earth science must have a 2.7 overall undergraduate grade point average. In addition, the student must have eighteen (18) hours of course work in the physical or natural sciences including physical and historical geology. The GRE test is required. Candidates for graduation must complete 30 semester hours of graduate courses including 6 semester hours of thesis. A minimum of 12 semester hours (excluding thesis hours) must be 5000-level courses.
