City University of Seattle's M.Ed. in Educational Leadership is a regionally accredited degree program approved by WA State. It is designed for professional educators who wish to advance their career opportunities in public and private schools.
Through classroom and field-supervised experience, you will gain vital knowledge in the areas of school leadership and administration, educational reform, and instructional supervision. You will participate in a practicum that focuses on the daily challenges administrators face, developing important leadership skills. As a successful graduate of the program, you will meet national and state certification standards that are based on the Interstate School Leadership Licensure Consortium Standards (ISLLC*) and will be recommended for certification to Washington State's Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction. Reciprocity is available for other states. You can pursue a M.Ed. degree as well as residency certification as a P-12 principal and/or program administrator.
The M.Ed. in Educational Leadership program prepares you to take on leadership roles within the educational community. Adding the administrator certification prepares you for WA State Principal and/or Program Administrator Certification.
Convenience of weekend classes, accessibility of CityU of Seattle's numerous campuses and high placement rates are a just a few of the reasons why you would choose our highly recognized program. In addition, our instructors are respected professionals who teach in class what they do for a living.
