Provides the background to analyze, design, model, specify, evaluate, and apply microand nanoelectronic devices to satisfy Air Force requirements. Items of interest include semiconductor device physics, diodes, transistors, lasers, silicon and gallium arsenide integrated circuits, integrated optoelectronic systems, optical sources and detectors, microphotonic systems, as well as nano-enabled devices and systems. Special emphasis is placed on materials, device reliability, nanotechnology, and devices for energy conversion, a full spectrum of sensors, and space applications.
