The Master's Degree Film Studies is designed for students who have already completed significant undergraduate or graduate work in the study of film or associated fields. The program will allow students to deepen their knowledge and familiarity with contemporary issues in film theory and history in the context of a major filmmaking program. Film Studies students will share many classes with MFA filmmakers. Please note, however, that the students in the MA Program in Film Studies are not eligible to take classes in directing, screenwriting or film production.
