The Master of Forest Resources (MFR) is a professional forestry degree designed to broaden forestry skills and enhance understanding of natural resource issues. The degree requires 36 hours of graduate work. Seminars and a research project count for up to six of those hours. Students with an undergraduate degree in forestry can complete the program in 12-15 months.

Specialization within the degree is expected and a forest resource management/economics emphasis provides sufficient course options for rapid completion of the degree. Course work is available from many departments across campus, including Agricultural and Applied Economics, Business, Economics, and Forest Resources.
