The first of its kind in the United States, the Health Promotion Management program's
primary objective is to provide a competency-based, multidisciplinary academic
track for individuals interested in health promotion. Graduates assume leadership
and managerial positions in a variety of corporate, private, community, hospital,
school, non-profit, and managed care health promotion settings. The curriculum
integrates managerial skills with scientific and clinical knowledge of exercise
physiology, programming, health communication and nutrition. Students are able
to select from five tracks, which enable them to focus their interests and career
goals to a particular area of health and wellness. The five tracks are: health
communication, exercise physiology, corporate, health policy and global health.
