Focuses on nutrition, physiology, and biomechanics and is especially geared to
those students considering doctoral work.
Degree Plan
1. Minimum degree requirements are 36 hours.
2. Students may transfer a maximum number of six hours of graduate courses from
an accredited institution. All transfer hours must be approved by the Department
Chair.
3. Students have two options available for the culminating experience. Option
one requires completion of 30 graduate academic hours and writing a six hour
master's thesis. Option two requires candidates to complete 36 graduate academic
hours and successful completion of a written and oral comprehensive examination.
4. Course requirements are outlined below. However, at the time of admission,
students may be assigned additional course work to re-mediate background deficiencies.
Course work falling into this remedial category will not count toward the Master's
degree.
