Undergraduate students with a strong academic record midway through their junior year may apply for admission to the integrated BS/MS program. A BS/MS student develops a senior research project during the summer after the junior year, and this project is further expanded to complete a MS thesis during the remainder of the BS/MS program. A BS/MS student enrolls in graduate courses in the senior year and during an additional academic year. With continuous progress in coursework and research during three summers and the academic years, this program with can lead to both the BS and MS degrees within 5 years.
