Completion of the MA in Education is achieved only after the
development of a portfolio demonstrating mastery in each of the
15 competencies with one of the “distinguished” level and the
rest at least at the “emerging” level (see "Rubric for Portfolio/
Competency Evaluation" in Appendix B of the Leadership
Handbook).
The participants prepare an Individual Development Plan
(IDP), which becomes his/her course of study. The course of
study translates into at least 36 semester credits. Completion of
the program is by submission of an approved research project and
by the oral presentation of a portfolio, which includes a written
synthesis paper.
