This program provides students a comprehensive education in contemporary knowledge of pathophysiological mechanisms and prepares them for careers in research and teaching in academic and corporate institution. Students entering without advanced standing should be able to complete the M.S. pro-gram in two to three years and the Ph.D. program in five years.

As a student in the program you will receive:
• Training in basic research related to disease processes (e.g., cancer and diseases of the gastrointestinal, cardiovascular, and nervous systems)
• Involvement in ground-braking research supported by cutting edge technology
• Hands on laboratory experience
• Mentoring by long-standing NIH funded investigators
The ultimate goal of the Molecular Pathobiology program is to provide you, the student, with the education necessary to conduct the research that leads to advances in our understanding of the etiology of the diseases processes and development of novel and therapeutic interventions.
