The Master of Science in Nonprofit Management program provides pragmatic, comprehensive and ethically-centered graduate management education aimed at increasing the capacity of current and future leaders of nonprofit organizations.

Over the years, Eastern University has shown continued support for the nonprofit sector. In the fall of 1994, Eastern initiated an MS and MBA in Nonprofit Management program at the Saint Davids, PA campus. Its commencement was celebrated with the opening of a new nonprofit collection donated to Eastern's Warner Library and a unique Nonprofit Lecture Series featuring prominent nonprofit leaders.

Watching the significant growth of and interest in the program, consideration to introduce the new program into other areas began. In 2002, Eastern introduced a slightly modified accelerated weekend residency MS in Nonprofit Management degree to the nonprofit community in the Washington, D.C. vicinity. Eastern developed the program to provide nonprofit leaders and/or managers with an opportunity to take advantage of a formal business education program.

Our two-fold intent is that our graduate (1) will increase their organizations' efficiency and effectiveness, thereby facilitating increased access to their organizations' programs and services; and (2) will increase the knowledge and skills of individuals who work for peace, justice, and the improved economic well-being of all people.
