Program Description
This 30-36 credit master's of science in nursing program offers students the opportunity, with guidance, to self-design the clinical component of their program. With a student to faculty ratio of 13:1, the student and faculty member determine an individualized plan of study with learning outcomes geared to meet the student’s professional career goals. Depending on the student’s future educational goals, they are provided with the opportunity to experience the process of completing either a research thesis or a project.
Consider The Possibilities
The wonderful thing about this program is that it affords the student the opportunity to self-design the clinical component. Now students can fulfill a desire to study a particular area of nursing that has always intrigued them.
For example students may choose:
Informatics
Care of the Homeless Nursing
Mental Health Nursing
The possibilities are endless. In addition to the specialties noted above, students may want to choose a more traditional area of practice, for example:
Pediatric Nursing
Gerontological Nursing
Adult Health Nursing
Applicants may investigate, experience and become an expert in a special focus area of nursing and earn a master’s degree at the same time.
