Boston University Master's degree Public Relations
The public relations program at the College of Communication is the oldest, and arguably best, in the United States. Students who complete their studies in Public Relations will receive a bachelor of science in communication, which prepares them for careers in public relations and other communication-based organizations.
The curriculum provides an overview of various forms of communication as well as research, theory and campaign development. Because public relations is a management function, courses will provide a professional focus. A strong liberal arts education provides the foundation of the program. Thus, students will take most of their courses in other schools and colleges within the University.
Living in Boston, the nation's eighth largest media market, gives students the opportunity to obtain professional experience in public relations while completing their degrees. Students also have the opportunity to participate in PRLab, the College of Communication's in-house, student-run public relations agency. Through course work and internships, students graduate with the skills necessary to begin successful careers.
