The graduate reading program consists of a series of courses and related practicum experiences designed to help classroom teachers and resource room specialists increase knowledge and skill as teachers of literacy.
The program is designed to enable candidates with at least one year of teaching to meet Massachusetts licensure standards for Teacher Reading. The program conforms to the guidelines of the International Reading Association.
The Program of Studies consists of foundation courses, courses in language and literacy, and practica experiences as a teacher reading.
A classroom teaching license is normally required for admission into the program.
