Applicants with a Bachelor of Science in Social Work (BSW) degree from a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) are eligible for advanced standing in the MSSW program. Students admitted under this option are required to complete a total of 38 credit hours of prescribed study. Advanced Standing students may complete the MSSW degree in 12 months, including a required summer term and two semesters of prescribed course work and internships. In addition to the requirements for the standard program, students applying for advanced standing are required to submit a copy of their final field evaluation. At least one of the three references must be from a former social work professor.
