The Children, Youth, and Families Concentration prepares students for professional practice with children, adolescents, and families seen across multiple settings. Training within the concentration builds upon the skills-based clinical and macro methods courses that provide the basis of interviewing, diagnostic, and treatment skills for clinical students, and assessment, administration, and community practice skills for macro students.
Building on the required foundation curriculum, advanced coursework in clinical and administrative practice as well as policy and program evaluation provides students with a unique set of practice and leadership skills specific to work within the child, adolescent and family context.
