The M.A. is offered jointly with the Graduate Theological Union. Usually completed
in two years of full-time study, the M.A. is an academic degree that requires
course work in the areas of biblical, theological, historical and social science
disciplines; an area of concentration; competence in one foreign language; and
a thesis. Courses are taken with faculty from ABSW and other GTU related schools.
Standards and requirements for the degree are set and maintained by the consortial
faculty and deans of the GTU seminaries that participate in the program. ABSW
students work under an advisor from the ABSW faculty. The dean and faculty of
ABSW oversee the student's progress through the program.
At present ABSW is receiving applications for the M.A. degree in systematic
theology.
