The Master of Arts in Teaching Secondary mathematics program is designed to give its graduates a deep understanding of the mathematics they will teach, the skills to solve mathematical problems with confidence, and an understanding and appreciation of the role mathematics plays in the sciences, engineering and other professions. This 12-month, three-semester curriculum features a combination of mathematics education courses plus elective courses in relevant areas. Field experience includes teaching seminars, classroom observation and a 12-week supervised teaching assignment. Candidates enjoy smaller classes with more personalized attention from our professors.
