The Master of Arts in Teaching Secondary physics is specifically designed to achieve that goal. This 12-month, three-semester program features a combination of sciences and education courses, supplemented by elective courses relevant to an individual’s particular interests. Education courses address such vital topics as curriculum development and diverse-learning aptitudes. Field experience includes educational seminars, a 12-week supervised teaching assignment and access to the faculty and resources of the Fernbank Science Center, part of Atlanta’s DeKalb County School System.
