Masters degrees in Bible + Biblical Studies: A program that focuses on the Christian and/or Jewish Bible and related literature, with an emphasis on understanding and interpreting the theological, doctrinal, and ethical messages contained therein. May include preparation for applying these studies in various religious vocations.
The M.A. is offered jointly with the Graduate Theological Union. Usually completed
in two years of full-time study, the M.A. is an academic degree that requires
course work in the areas of biblical, theological, historical and social science
disciplines; an area of concentration; competence in one foreign language; and
a thesis. Courses are taken with faculty from ABSW and other GTU related schools.
