Masters degrees in Biostatistics: A program that focuses on the application of descriptive and inferential statistics to biomedical research and clinical, public health, and industrial issues related to human populations. Includes instruction in mathematical statistics, modeling, clinical trials methodology, disease and survival analysis, longitudinal analysis, missing data analysis, spatial analysis, computer tomography, biostatistics consulting, and applications to such topics as genetics, oncology, pharmacokinetics, physiology, neurobiology, and biophysics.

The MA program is intended primarily for the student with the equivalent of a B.A. who wishes to pursue advanced study in the theory and methods of biostatistics.
To earn the MA degree, students are expected to complete 32 credit hours with grades of at least B- in every course. Coursework must include the following six biostatistics core courses (24 credits):
