Masters degrees in Teacher Education, Multiple Levels: A program that prepares individuals to teach students at more than one educational level, such as a combined program in elementary/secondary, early childhood/elementary, elementary/middle school, or junior high/high school teacher education.
In partnership with the Bard Center for Environmental Policy (CEP), students may apply for a two-year dual-degree program (master of science in environmental policy and master of arts in teaching).
Applicants must apply to, and be accepted by, both the CEP and the MAT Programs. Although applications may be made simultaneously, decisions are made independently by each graduate program.
Current Bard undergraduates who wish to enter the MAT Program upon completion of the bachelor's degree through a preferred admissions process should notify their advisers as early as possible, preferably by November 1 of the sophomore year, that they plan to pursue a fifth year of study in the MAT Program.
