This qualifies the student to write the Michigan Civil Service Test for Corrections Officer. A graduate of this program who earns a passing score on the Civil Service test, as set by the Michigan Civil Service Board, and who also meets other Michigan Department of Corrections requirements, may receive priority for hiring as a Michigan Corrections Officer.
