Certificates/Less-than-2-year Certificate - Aquarium Science
Program Description
Students may earn a Certificate of Completion in Aquarium Science by successfully completing the required 51 credit hours with a grade of C or better in all courses.


Certificates/Less-than-2-year Certificate - Practical Nursing
Program Description
A practical nurse is a member of a nursing or health care team and gives care to patients of all ages under the direction of registered nurses and/or licensed physicians and dentists.


Certificates/Less-than-2-year Certificate - Retail Management
Program Description
The Retail Management certificate prepares students for entry-level employment in sales and management. The program emphasizes skill development in interpersonal communication; business accounting; marketing; human resource management and supervision and focuses on professional growth, employment, and advancement opportunities.


Associate degrees

Associate degree - Aquarium Science
Program Description
The Aquarium Science Program offers a comprehensive two-year Associated of Applied Science (AAS) degree and a one-year Certificate that is open only to individuals who already possess a Bachelor's degree in a life science area.


Associate degree - Early Childhood Education
Program Description
Early Childhood Education courses may be helpful to those students who desire to work with young children as childcare aides, assistants, and teachers in preschools and kindergartens.


Associate degree - Emergency Medical Technology
Program Description
Emergency Medical Technology (EMT) courses train students to take the state certification tests for the EMT Basic and EMT Intermediate levels. The courses are accredited by the Oregon Department of Education and the Oregon State EMS Office.


Associate degree - Fire Protection Technology
Program Description
The courses listed below may be taken by those working in the Fire Protection field who desire to upgrade their skills. The courses offered at Oregon Coast are transferable to Chemeketa's Fire Protection Technology program.

Associate degree - Management
Program Description
Many courses applicable to Chemeketa's Associate of Applied Science degree are available at Oregon Coast. Students completing Chemeketa's AAS degree in Management may begin as a management trainee or other entry-level employee of a small business or large firm.


Associate degree - Network Technology
Program Description
Computers, computer networks, and the Internet have changed the way people live, learn, and work. Network Technology courses prepare students to design, install, administer, and troubleshoot computer networks.


Associate degree - Nursing
Program Description
Admitted students may earn an Associate of Applied Science degree in Nursing by successfully completing 94 required credit hours of the two-year Nursing program (44 credits during the second year after the 50 credits of Practical Nursing).

Bachelor degree - Art
Program Description
A bachelor's degree in art can prepare a student to work in school and community programs, museums, galleries, and related businesses, and to pursue research and creative projects.


Bachelor degree - Business Administration
Program Description
A bachelor's degree in business administration can prepare a student for office and personnel administration, banking, insurance, retailing, sales, and merchandising.

Program Description
