Post Masters certification is available for the masters-prepared nurse who wishes
to add certification in another area. ASU currently offers post masters certification
in two areas: Family Nurse Practitioner and Nurse Educator. The MSN Coordinator
and Graduate Faculty Advisor will review the transcript(s) of applicants and develop
a program of study appropriate to the student’s previous educational preparation.
Admission requirements:
1. Graduation from an accredited MSN/MN program
2. GPA of 3.00 on 4.00 scale
3. Evidence of current professional nurse licensure in Georgia prior to entering
first clinical course (advanced certification?)
4. Evidence of appropriate malpractice insurance
