Mission Statement:
The Asian Studies Program at Emory College coordinates with other departments and programs at Emory to facilitate the interdisciplinary study of the geographical, historical, social, political, religious, artistic, and cultural dimensions of Asia.
Languages
Study of an Asian language is strongly encouraged for the major in Asian Studies. Emory offers four years of Japanese and Chinese, and three years of Hindi and Sanskrit. Chinese and Japanese are administered through the Department of Russian and East Asian Languages and Cultures. Hindi and Sanskrit are administered by the Middle Eastern and South Asian Studies Department.
