Mission:
The principal focus of the College's academic program is undergraduate education in selected liberal and pre-professional studies; thus, the role of teaching is central to the College's mission.
The purposes of the academic program are to provide opportunities for general and specialized learning; to assist students in preparing for careers; and to aid qualified students in pursuing graduate and professional studies.
The objectives of the student life program at Flagler are to establish appropriate standards of conduct and to promote activities that will contribute to the development of self-discipline, integrity, and leadership.
Flagler College was established as a memorial to Henry M. Flagler. The Hotel Ponce de Leon, built by Mr. Flagler, serves as a reminder of his enterprise, diligence, and commitment to high standards. The College is pledged to the preservation and use of this facility and other historic and architecturally unique campus structures. |

The Flagler College Department of Art and Design offers a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree for those ambitious students who wish to pursue the creative professional life of a studio artist. Our BFA's have been accepted to some of the most selective MFA graduate programs in the country including, PRATT, Parsons the New School, University of Florida, Florida State University, the San Francisco Art Institute, University of Texas at Austin and many more.

Graphic Design students at Flagler College experience a vigorous learning environment to prepare them for the increasingly demanding field of graphic design and advertising. The program follows a strong foundation of drawing, photography, design principles, art history and visual communications. Focusing primarily on print media, students enrolled in the Graphic Design program at Flagler College receive instruction from working professionals and learn on-the-job in a state-of-the-art computer studio. Real-world experience from faculty and visiting professionals is combined with challenging graphic design projects to form a complete learning experience. Internships and field trips to leading area design, advertising and printing firms allow students to gain direct access to the field and its practitioners. Finally, a professionally-prepared portfolio, advised and critiqued by top area professionals, is produced by each student in exemplary preparation for a competitive job market.
