Who are the notable alumni?
1 Answer
Answered by: Universities.com

The University of North Carolina at Charlotte alumni are as diverse as Charlotte itself. In the music world, alumni include singer-songwriter Clay Aiken, who rose to fame after appearing on “American Idol” in 2003, and the members of The Moody Brothers, the Grammy-nominated country music trio. Notable sports figures who attended the school include New York Mets pitcher John Maine, Boston Celtics great Cedric Maxwell, and heavyweight boxer Calvin Brock. And not surprisingly, since UNC is so dedicated to the business community, there are several business leaders among the alumni, including Lowe's CFO Robert F. Hull, Jr., Former Bank of America CFO Joe Price, and Susan DeVore, CEO of Premier, Inc.

Question
What is the campus setting like?
1 Answer
Answered by: Universities.com

With a campus that spreads across 1,000 acres in a lovely suburban setting, it’s not surprising that 77 percent of UNC Charlotte’s student body lives on campus. Not only does the layout give students convenient access to classes, sports facilities, and art galleries, but also on-campus residents have their choice of housing styles. Whether they are interested in the more traditional residence hall living they find in Holshouser Hall or Moore Hall, the apartment-style housing of Belk and Maple halls, or the suites found in Laurel Hall and Lynch Hall, the campus has a little something to make every student feel welcome and comfortable. And of course, no campus would be complete without its Greeks, who can be found housed in Greek Village. Thirteen large brick chapter houses all connect around a large grassy lawn.
