PSYCHOLOGY PROGRAM

Psychology@Pepperdine is the online psychology master’s program from Pepperdine University. Designed for students who want to improve the wellbeing of others through an understanding of human behavior, the program teaches principles of counseling and psychotherapy using the same curriculum as the on-campus program. Students receive a rigorous, values-based education as they learn directly from Pepperdine faculty who are active practitioners and experts in their fields.

MAP PROGRAM

"Pepperdine University offers its Master of Arts in Psychology program online, enabling students across the country to receive a Pepperdine graduate education without attending classes on campus. The online master’s in psychology program provides a comprehensive overview of psychology and allows students to develop the skills needed to assess personality and intelligence and treat mental and emotional disorders.

To earn their degree, students attend weekly online classes taught by Pepperdine faculty with diverse clinical expertise, complete intensive online course work accessible through an online campus, and gain in-person experience volunteering at an agency near their community. The curriculum introduces a range of psychotherapy techniques and offers insight into topics such as multicultural counseling and career development.

The program is designed for students who want to develop a thorough understanding of human behavior and psychological principles. While the online master’s in psychology program doesn’t prepare students for any specific license, it does prepare them to pursue further doctoral study or a career in the human services field.
