SMU’s Online Master’s in Cybersecurity program features:


  • 10 courses (30 credits)
  • Program can be completed in less than two years
  • Applications now being accepted
  • Three start dates per year: fall, spring and summer term starts available


Admissions Requirements


  1. Bachelor’s degree in statistics, applied mathematics, computer science, engineering or other quantitative disciplines
  2. Experience with a programming language (R, JAVA, C++, Python, etc.)
  3. At least two courses completed in calculus (i.e., Calculus I & II)
  4. GRE required *

* Exception: A minimum of two years of relevant work experience in a technology field will waive the GRE requirement and may substitute for other prerequisite requirements pending faculty approval.
