It includes instruction in food science, biochemistry, chemistry of food, physiology, advanced and community nutrition, psychology, food preservation, dietetics, and nutrition studies. Students will also study the relationships between diet and health. Upon completion of the nutritional science degree, individuals will have a sound understanding of nutrient functions, sources, and requirements. This program prepares students for careers in nutrition, dietetics, food service administration, food technology, food science, and community nutrition.
